Getting to know these wonderful couples is a huge part of why I love photographing weddings. I feel very blessed to work with so many laid-back, open minded, creative, and down to earth personalities. My clients love photography and the arts….and just enjoy life.
The brides I work with are loved whole-heartedly by their husbands and I’m privileged to photograph them during the most special time in their lives. Some I have never met before we started working together. And some…I’m friends with prior and become closer to during their photographic journey. But one thing that’s consistently the same is that I feel a certain connection with each of these couples because I’m working with them, by their side…on the most important day of their life.
Bridal sessions are a chance to trial run their hair/makeup, wear their dress and figure out their final requests for alterations, break in their shoes, see their bouquets….and on top of all that, get amazing pictures of them looking the most beautiful they’ve ever looked!
2013 was awesome. I was grateful to have the chance to photograph a ton of bridal sessions! There were cold days, rainy days…and of course (always) unexpected occurrences. But I think that’s what makes my job so interesting.
