According to Lauren, the Grand Opera House is haunted. According to her dad, it’s a place with ample opportunity to scare his daughter…and me. The night spent shooting Lauren’s bridals was full of unexpected moments. Lauren’s dad is quite the character, in addition to hiding behind curtains and plotting ways to scare us, he even managed to work the theatre spot light for the shoot. 🙂
Lauren decided early on that she wanted her bridals shot at night. This allowed me complete control over the light to create the dramatic and unique images that she mentioned wanting since day one. Lauren was married this past weekend and I couldn’t be happier for her. She has a beautiful and outgoing spirit with a ton of good energy and creativity.
So when I emailed Lauren asking her to bring a masquerade mask, I knew she’s be up for it! But this isn’t just any mask. She definitely thought out what she was looking for and found this one that I LOVE.
This image is hands down my favorite from the day. 🙂
Being that the Opera House was where she was married, it created a nice location that was meaningful to she and her new HUSBAND. 😉
I love it. She’s SO beautiful.
One thing I adore about Lauren is her ability to be bold and beautiful without hesitation.
And she has impeccable taste. Her bouquet = gorgeous.
When Lauren walked out for the first time in her gown I was blown away! I think the dress is 100% her and the detailing is beautiful.
Even her hair & makeup were flawless. The details make all the difference.
This beautiful headpiece really added character to her session. I love the way the feathers from the bouquet were integrated into the design.
🙂
Yes, she did pull out her kicks for the bridals.
See what I mean…bold and beautiful!
We were also able to snap a few shots outside and capture the Crowley streetlights behind.
I asked her to place her right hand gently onto the curtain behind her. And as she slowly reached her arm back and began to push against the curtain….It pushed BACK! It was her dad…lol…
Mrs. Lauren Meche :),
Congratulations on the start of you and Blake’s life together. I wish I could have been at the wedding; I know you were beautiful!!!! Thank you for hiring me to photograph your bridals and for being open minded and fun in the process. Also, please thank both of your parents for coming as well. I really enjoyed it.
