Anne was a freshman and Vohn was a junior..both in band and developing a friendship. In the beginning Anne didn’t know that Vohn too was interested in her…until he asked her to his senior prom. That night Anne says she truly felt like a princess…and hoped to feel that same way on her wedding day.
Anne + Vohn say they feel so fortunate to have experienced life together over the years…building memories and their relationship. And cannot wait to start life as a married couple. They LOVE to dance and just enjoy their friends and family.
Speaking of family…Anne comes from a super large one with many traditions. She and Vohn spoke much about wanting to celebrate their marriage with those they loved most because they truly believe that family comes first. They incorporated old family heirloom pieces into their celebration and mixed vintage elements with a classic, elegant feel.
For their rehearsal, I attended as both photographer and friend and had an absolute blast visiting and documenting these moments. The toasts were heartfelt, humorous and sentimental…with my favorite quote being one made during their friend Ryckman’s speech:
“May your love be modern enough to survive the times, but old-fashioned enough to last forever.” – Unknown
Stay tuned for images from Anne + Vohn’s wedding on the blog this week. And in the meantime, below are a few favorites from the rehearsal dinner:
