It’s been quite the journey this year.
In March of last year, I was part of the creativeLIVE Spotlight event. And in that moment I learned that sharing my photography experiences was something I would continue to challenge myself to do in the upcoming months.
After the creativeLIVE event, George Varanakis introduced me to Brandon Hedgpeth of Black River Imaging and I’ve been speaking for this incredible lab since. My first speaking opportunity was at Imaging USA in Pheonix where I gave a few talks at Black River’s booth. I was nervous to say the least but I learned so much…including the great reward of helping others.
I went on later to speak at their WPPI Booth and was even chosen to speak for Photographer’s Ignite (in front of approximately 500 other photographers!!!) LOL where I memorized and recited a 5-minute speach on Branding! <– you can check out the video at this link. And through all of these experiences, I’ve had the true blessing of working with other photographers as we all grow together in an industry so special.
My most recent speaking engagement was for Fotochaos in St. Louis where I spoke on business, shooting, and branding…and met a super talented group of photographers in the city!
—->>>> And I’m SUPER excited that for the first time, I’ll be sharing knowledge and connecting with other photographers locally at an upcoming NOLA Workshop! To add to the excitement, it’s a photography COLLABORATION with photographers Erin + Geoffrey whom I admire and feel bring something new and different to the table.
We’ll be teaming up with Hannah Trahan of Southern Couture Weddings and a group of talented vendors including: Root Floral Design, Sara Buteaux Hair/Makeup, and Heather Chauvin (model) to make this day extra special!
It’s an all day event. The investment includes a meet & greet at breakfast, lunch, 3 courses including talks on Digital/Film Photography, Working with a Planner, Getting Published, and Storytelling through Imagery. There will be opportunity for one-on-one portfolio reviews with both Erin & Geoffrey and I, and we’ll conclude the day with shooting in the French Quarter!
