Over five years ago, on the campus of Louisiana State University, Chelsey + Robert’s journey began. Chelsey describes Robert as kind, supportive, loving and willing to do anything for and with her! <3 Even her engagement ring (the yellow diamond) is a symbol of their friendship and love.
Robert + Chelsey aimed to create a day that was sentimental and memorable. There were so many details that were thought through with care:
*A 30-year gazebo built for her parents’ wedding was used to display their cake.
*Table arrangements with bark from their front trees decorated the tables.
*A handmade dance floor was painted by Chelsey and her bridesmaids.
*Lights that Chelsey’s grandfather used to light up his department store at Christmas were hung for the reception.
*Chelsey’s grandmother was her “honorary bridesmaid,” showing off the same color as Chelsey’s sister and closest friends.
**….And Chelsey wore her mother’s gown.
I feel honored to have been there. Even just to be a fly on the wall and experience SO much love in one day is mind-blowing. So, thank you. Thank you for being a reminder of the good in the world and proof that love truly does conquer all! 🙂
