When they met, they were serving the Lord. Now that they’re together, they’re serving the Lord…..as a couple. They met at Beach Project, she went to Brazil, they connected through social networks….then in Louisiana…then St. Louis, then wherever the wind blew. Summar & Stewart trust in the Lord 100%, they live in a way that truly inspires me, and they love one another so much that it radiates off of them. They’ve met in cities all over the country and on December 3rd, they’ll meet here, in Lafayette, for their wedding.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post about Summar & Stewart, they are quite the adventurous couple, and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting their engagements. But what I’ve left out in all of this is how much Summar means to me. I’m sure for her bridals you’ll hear all of this again and more, but Summar is an incredible woman. She loves God with everything in her and inspires everyone around her in SO many ways. She’s has had a tremendous affect on my life, and I cannot thank her enough for that. She’s beautiful, she’s smart, she’s athletic, but most of all, she’s genuine & she’s selfless. Stewart is the perfect match for her.
When I first met Stewart, he shocked me with 1. His Height 2. His Organization 3. His Kindness! He loves Summar and it was such a pleasure capturing their interaction and witnessing a relationship based on trust and selflessness. I am so fortunate to have been able to photograph a love so true, so real. Thank you both for that.
I absolutely love the comfort and security that Summar has when she’s with Stewart.
Their level of trust and intimacy with each other and with God blows me away!!!
And they LOVE to laugh and have fun. You see, in the image on the right, I literally had to stop taking pictures I was laughing so hard. I had tears falling from my eyes.
Isn’t she beautiful?! No wonder he’s so smitten with her. She’s gorgeous and has a beautiful heart.
And when I think of them as a couple, I think of them this way. Strong & confident and backed by the lord. I think the image above is a good storyteller for their relationship…with only a silhouette.
The location for their engagements is the spot where Stewart proposed. It was really nice being at a location that meant so much to them, and one which was so unique for the photographs!
Everytime I look at this image, I smile…a pretty big grin from ear to ear thinking of how happy I am for them. Truly happy that they have been brought together. 🙂 🙂

Bobbo (Heather) came along for the session and was the reason I was in tears for the 2nd time of the day! I’m going to have to start bringing her along for all of my shoots because WOW…I couldn’t stop laughing!
And this is the actual spot where Stewart proposed! I can really see that they felt comfortable here and completely in their element.
Bobbit, thanks for being a shoeshiner and such a huge help (If I could sum you up in one image, it would be the one top right) ;)! I’m really really happy that I got to see you, and I know everyone enjoyed having you there. Stewart, thanks for being such a stud and for teaching me that it’s ok to wear brown shoes and a brown belt with a black shirt. 🙂
This image is going in a frame (even though this is post-shoot Catherine hair styling..lol). I love these girls and I’m so blessed to have them in my life.
