When my dress was brought into the dressing room, I was not feeling it at all. I had been trying on dresses with completely different shapes and fabrics, convinced that that was what I wanted. I would have never picked my dress out myself, but the girl helping me told me to just give it a try. She definitely knew what she was doing!
Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
I wanted a dress that was classically beautiful so that I could look back on it in fifty years and still love it. I think my dress definitely fits that description.
How do you feel when you put on your dress?
My dress makes me feel so excited to be getting married. There are certain moments during your planning that make the wedding real, and putting on your dress is one of those special moments.
Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
Our reception will be held at White Oak Plantation, so it just made sense to take my bridals there. Plus, those oak trees are gorgeous!
Any advice for future brides embarking on this wedding journey?
My advice is to try on all different types of dresses. Us brides go into dress shopping with an idea of what we want (or what we’ve Pinterested), but you may find something you love even more if you just step outside of your comfort zone.
