It was 11.11.11 and they were downtown with her parents. Most people know the combination of 11/11 as sign to make a wish. Well, that night…Chris did. He made the wish that Mirada would say yes to spending the rest of her life with him as her husband.
He KNEW that he had to get Mirada’s mom involved because there was NO way that she wouldn’t suspect the proposal. He had been trying to keep it a secret from her for months but she always found out. After dating for almost 12 years…they know each other pretty well. 🙂
He had been saving for her ring (which is absolutely GORGEOUS)…and finally the night had come for the proposal.
They all went out to dinner: Mirada, Chris, and Mirada’s parents. It was FREEZING so when they decided to take a walk to the see the new oversized clock at the end of Jefferson street, she was NOT happy. She was curled up seated in a ball with her hood over her head. But still, Chris pushed forward wanting the perfect proposal for Mirada.
It wasn’t quite 11:11 on that magical date…so he stalled. He even talked to vehicle passing by (explaining to them that he needed help passing time) so that he could propose at the right moment.
At exactly 11:11, he turned Mirada’s attention to the clock. According to Mirada’s wishes, hers came true that night. Because just as she closed her eyes and dreamed of a proposal to the man she loves with all of her heart, there he was. Kneeled beside her, with her ring in his hand was Chris asking Mirada to be his wife.
Mirada + Chris have such a fun, comfortable relationship. They know each other SO incredibly well and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting their engagement session. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed just spending time shooting this special milestone in their lives together! 🙂 🙂 🙂 I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!! 🙂

The session was held the day before my birthday, and Chris + Mirada were sweet enough to think of me! You can read more about it in my birthday post, but they purchased this Nikon liquid container for me…and I LOVE it! After, Mirada’s mom even took us all to dinner. 🙂
