Surprising Erika was always part of the plan…the hard part was executing it so that she’d be completely clueless about the proposal. Jason did an awesome job of keeping the secret, even going as far as creating a fake email to invite Jason & Erika to an “entrepreneur party” in Las Vegas.
The location for their proposal story overlooked the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, a setting Jason felt was perfect for the occasion. At 6:57 the music began. Erika stood, completely caught off guard asshe watched Jason’s business partners begin dancing in unison. At 6:58, her friends and family members joined in …. and at 6:59 Jason walked toward Erika, got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!
At 7:00, the fountain show began just as Erika and Jason celebrated the start of this new journey in their relationship!
I photographed Erika + Jason’s engagement session in the French Quarter of New Orleans…one of my personal favorite locations! And although Erika had somewhat hoped for a rain (to get a few rainy day photos), we ironically ended up with one of the most beautiful days of 2014 (and I don’t think any of us had complaints about that!) 🙂
