Olivia had made previous plans with a friend and was initially bummed by the idea of traveling to New Orleans for the night. Little did she know, Craig was arranging a proposal for her. The story he told Olivia was that he made plans with his friends and really wanted he and Olivia to spend some time in the city. He promised to make it up to her with dinner at August (and a night at the Ritz).
Olivia’s friend encouraged her to approach the night with positivity. “Maybe he’s proposing!” she told her…but Olivia wasn’t convinced. Even at dinner, she double checked with Craig to make sure his friends were in town and he assured her they were. At that point, Olivia had given up on any idea of a proposal.
As the evening went on and they made the order for dessert, Craig prepared for the big moment. As they brought out the dessert, there….written in chocolate (Olivia’s absolute FAVORITE) were the words “Will You Marry Me?”
Olivia was completely shocked. She never would have imagined such a public proposal from Craig, and when she looked down there he was, kneeling beside her asking for her hand.
Their engagement session took place in the city of their proposal: NOLA. If you don’t know already…New Orleans is my absolute favorite spot in Louisiana. I love the energy of the city, the colors…and the spontaneity of the area. We had a wonderful time walking the streets and that evening we enjoyed a nice dinner at Somethin’ else cafe (where I had my very first shrimp burger).
