The past six weeks have been incredible….and my eyes are even more open than before to the opportunities of the world. My passion for photography has grown even stronger than it already was and I have been so humbled by the talent that exists in other parts of the country.
- Photographing Lisa Breaux’s architecture in Los Angeles taught me to be more detail-oriented and patient, focused, yet open to other’s opinions and ideas!!
- And spending the day with photographer Art Streiber during his shoot of Modern Family was QUITE the experience. His leadership is unlike anything I’ve seen before and his level of expertise BLEW ME AWAY!!!!
- The conference in Vegas….OHHHH the conference in Vegas. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I bring my camera everywhere with me, well…mostly everywhere. 🙂 But seriously, after the conference I couldn’t put it down! I wanted to shoot everything and was constantly challenging myself.
When I woke up from a very much deserved nap in Las Vegas….;), I was immediately overwhelmed with creativity!!! Graduating in architecture left me with such an intense appreciation for buildings! And they definitely “DID IT BIG” in Vegas!!!
Our hotel was HUGE. It literally took me 30 minutes everyday to walk from my room to the conference center at MGM Grand! WOW! …But everyday that I walked was more of a skip…I just couldn’t wait for what was to come!

Cliff Mautner, Jasmine Star, Yervant, Jonathon Canlas…..THESE were the type of people speaking at the conference. 🙂 They spoke of what inspired them and their stories as well as techniques and styles. I cried (YES…I literally cried) at some of the emotional stories about families, love, and moments, I laughed, and I realized the importance of what I do as a photographer.

I couldn’t be more excited to be back home with my friends and family, and I am so grateful that I had this opportunity for travel, experience, and learning. Below are a few images from Skip’s Summer School 2010. And I plan to post more images of my travels this week!
