Katie + Tyler have fallen in love with the city of New Orleans. They spend their free weekends in the city enjoying the traditions, the history, the food…and each other’s company.
They’ve talked about getting married in the past and knew New Orleans would be the place to celebrate with their friends and family. So, Tyler decided NOLA would be the perfect place to start the celebration: with his proposal to Katie.
He asked his good friend to come along with intentions of photographing the proposal. But the lighting wasn’t right in front of the Cathedral (where he originally wanted to propose) so Tyler decided to kill a bit of time. Only, when they returned, the gates were locked. Katie, having no idea about the proposal, only knew that Tyler was bummed…and sought out ways to cheer him up! As they walked near the river, Tyler realized that it wasn’t about the location but about proposing to the person he wanted to spend forever with. So, in that moment with her back to him he got down on one knee.
She turned around…took in the moment…and said YES.
In less than one year, they’ll get married at the Cathedral, in the city they love so much. <3
I am so excited to be working with Katie + Tyler because we just…have fun. I laughed so much during their session and was really glad to see them so happy together. I feel like Katie and I are so similar and I really enjoyed being silly and just enjoying the day.
