For months, Ryan + Lindsay discussed their idea of the most sentimental and beautiful ring. After all…by that time, their perfect friendship had developed into an ideal relationship and only the best object to represent their love would do.
Lindsay wanted something simple and modern (I mean…how perfect to search for a “simply modern” ring if I do say so myself)…that fit her personal aesthetic. When they found THE ring, Ryan purchased it without Lindsay knowing and held onto the ring as they traveled to San Antonio.
They spent the day at six flags and were so exhausted by dinner they barely said a word. However, Lindsay commented earlier in the day about a glowing, traveling, larger than life-sized pumpkin so Ryan knew his offer to ride in it was the perfect way to perk up her spirits. He casually asked and Lindsay delightfully obliged!
They passed on the architecture tour and opted for a laid back ride. As they strolled the streets of San Antonio in that romantic glowing pumpkin…Ryan proposed.
WELL…he started to propose, until he was interupted by a passerby looking for directions. Confused and distracted, Lindsay heard only half of what was said, leaving Ryan waiting for a response. And their conversation following went a little like this:
Ryan: “So are you going to marry me or should I put this ring back in my pocket?”
Lindsay: “No!”Â
Ryan: “So, you won’t marry me?
Lindsay: “No! dont put it up!! Yes! I will marry you! “
…………………………………………………………………………..And they’ve been planning ever since.Â
I had the pleasure and the honor of photographing these two recently at Jungle Gardens and I’m happy to share their engagement session preview below:::
I cannot believe I was able to grab a serious shot of these two…as they spent about 99.9% of the shoot laughing and having fun (which is totally ok with me!!!)
However, I think that this photo on the left is lovely because it does show their serious side. It shows that not only is their relationship rooted in friendship, but their love is deep as well.I would definitely consider Lindsay and Ryan to be an extremely lively and fun couple!
Best Friends in love: FOR sure!  I love that Lindsay is ALWAYS smiling…and laughing! She has the most adorable smile and the way that she and Ryan interact with each other just makes my heart happy! AH! Aren’t they just so sweet together?! Jungle Gardens is one of my absolute favorite venues not only because of the variety within but also because of the quality of natural light available!
SWOON. 🙂 Love is beautiful.

Catherine
[…] After Ryan proposed, they allowed their vision of the wedding to truly come to life. They’ve always planned on getting married outdoors with God’s beautiful backdrop for their special day…and they used nature to inspire their decor. They love the weathered, mountain look so Claxton Farm truly was an awesome location for them. […]
