For Kelley’s proposal, Josh decided on a destination location. They had planned a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, a trip which Josh knew would be the perfect opportunity for such a momentous occasion.
Every night, Kelley looked forward to one thing: towel animals. The first night, there was a towel dog that she and Josh both agreed looked like their dog, Jasper. So, she saved him. And for each night after that, she very carefully placed the towel animal next to the “Jasper” towel. Even her friend started bringing THEIR towel animals over! They’d put sunglasses on them…hats; it became an entire animal party!
Kelley became fixated on the idea of learning to make the towel animals so when she found out there was an instructional book for sale in the hotel, she was off without a second thought!
Josh, seeing this as his “moment” placed the ring next to “Jasper” and hopped in the shower. What he didn’t realize was that the book Kelley was looking to buy, was only one floor above. SO, within minutes, she was back down and in the room……….that’s right, staring at the ring box.
The proposal didn’t go QUITE as Josh had anticipated, but he did have the opportunity to quickly rush to her side, get down on one knee and ask her for her hand!
The thing about Josh is that he just wants Kelley to be happy. They are so friendly and easy going, and I felt comfortable around them immediately! I’m so excited to be working with them as their photographer and I had a BLAST shooting their engagements.
The shoot took place at one of my all-time favorite locations: Jungle Gardens. They even brought along their two pets Jasper and Scarlett (photographing a pig was as first for me!) Thank you guys so much for a wonderful shoot and I hope you enjoy your post!
