She’s a kindergarten teacher, he’s a real estate agent. She’s a bit shy, sweet, and never stops smiling…and he’s incredibly outgoing and super witty. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon shooting Kelli + Michael’s engagement session. Typically, by the time an engagement session has rolled around I have met with the couple at least once. For Kelli + Michael, they made QUITE the drive to come here…so it was our first chance to actually spend time together in person.
We hit it off from the start and it was so wonderful getting to know these two. They were truly up for anything….and we really couldn’t have asked for a prettier day either! We were worried about the rain but it held out. And with a little….WELLLLLL…A LOT of bug spray, the day was amazing. 🙂
Michael and Kelli are the laid-back type so his proposal story was perfectly fitting for these two. Michael called her a few months back and mentioned that he would bring chinese to her place for their date night. In Kelli’s mind, it was another night with the man she loved. After all, they’ve been together for about 4 years now…
When he arrived (after a week of holding onto the ring <–can you IMAGINE?!) he had placed it into an empty chinese food box. Whether it was her instincts or the fact that this box looked slightly out of place from the others, it was the first that she grabbed. When she slowly opened the box corner by corner, she found a sparkling diamond inside and Michael asking her for her hand.
Kelly + Michael, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph you two. I am very much looking forward to your wedding and absolutely cannot wait to continue learning about you. 🙂 Enjoy the preview of your session:
