Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
I am a parishioner of St. John, love Father Chester and love the gorgeous Cathedral! Le Pavillon is absolutely gorgeous and the Petroleum Club takes care of every detail. Being the youngest of three girls, I wanted everyone to be able to enjoy themselves and not worry about each little thing.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
Todd and I both agree that it would have to be the live painting at the reception with Alex Harvie! It is so unique and made everyone feel so special! Alex has the perfect personality to interact with the guests. Everyone had so much fun with him!
What was your best wedding day memory?
It’s a toss up between the moment of being announced and walking into the reception or our first dance as husband and wife! It was so heartwarming walking into the reception and getting “that warm fuzzy feeling” of seeing our wonderful family and friends here to celebrate us! In addition to my brother in law performing our first dance song, it was so great to dance with my husband (still hasn’t hit me that I have one of those yet)!
Did you create any details yourself? How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
I believe we incorporated our personalities by all of the unique details we included: Having so many little touches of my sweet aunt, remembering our deceased loved ones with the pictures on my boutique. All of the monograms, UL groom’s cake were so special to us as well!
