For most of my brides, our paths begins when they become engaged. But for Erin and I, our friendship started almost a decade ago. Erin was my first friend when I came to UL. I had moved to a city I’d never lived in before and found myself immediately immersed in a new culture, new school, and new lifestyle all together. Erin was there for all of it!
She and I clicked from the start and she very quickly grew into a best friend. I love that Erin is such a loyal person, so much fun, and just….REAL. When Erin met Brad I think we ALL knew pretty instantly that she had found her match. They’re so in sync with one another, love the outdoors and adventuring through life together. They enjoy gardening, travel…and there’s really never a dull moment with this couple!
When Erin got engaged, I almost couldn’t contain my excitement for her!!!! I still remember her telling me the story of how they got engaged as we walked the track at Red’s:
Brad had the idea to take their canoe out to Lake Martin for a date night together. This was not out of the norm for them so Erin really had no expectations of what was to come. They loaded the canoe into the water, shared a cocktail together, and there on the water…Brad asked Erin to be his wife!!!
I am SO SO happy for my friend, ya’ll! 🙂 She just lights up when Brad is around and it makes me so happy to see her this way! Brad is an incredible person, a true leader and I cannot wait to see what life has in store for them.
For Erin and Brad’s engagement session we went out to the place where they got engaged…Lake Martin. The landscaping was beautiful and the natural feel was really a perfect fit for them. I’d also like to give a special shout out to our friend Beth for Erin’s lovely makeup! Below are a few of my favorites from Erin + Brad’s engagement session:
