Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
Honestly, I did not know what style dress I wanted. I went into the process with an open mind. I knew I had to have a dress with the detailed buttons down the back. That was a must for me!
Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
It was the night before my first wedding dress appointment when this feeling of excitement came over me. I went to bed that night just knowing that I was going to find my wedding dress the next day. The dress that I chose was the very first dress that I tried on. I opened my eyes to see myself in my dress with the veil placed on my heard and a bouquet in my hand… I lost it. I looked at my mother, sisters, and future mother in law and cried. I could not stop saying “I just picture myself in this dress waiting for Gary at the end of the aisle.” My dress is special to me because my Godmother purchased for me. She bought my baptismal gown and my confirmation dress. Now, she bought my wedding dress from Heaven.
How do you feel when you put on your dress?
When I put on my dress, I feel perfect. It brings me happiness and joy to the point where I never want to take it off. When I was in I Do, I told Ramsey, ” do I have to take this off?” Lets just say I love my dress!
Any advice for future brides embarking on this wedding journey?
To my future brides, communication is key. Just like in any relationship communication can get lost. Just remember, you are marrying your best friend and communication is a foundation in your relationship. It is important to be open and honest with each other. You are entering a new journey and a new chapter in your life. Sit back and watch the story unveil itself. Embrace each moment with a love and laughter because this time in your life is something you will never forget.
