Laura and Chad met in the city of Mobile during college eight years before getting engaged. They were friends first who then fell in love.
They spent two years apart as Laura began medical school in New Orleans and Chad his Masters in History in Hattiesburg. But after the long distance, they spent the next two years together in New Orleans.
Life has a crazy way and tugging us around. So after being brought back together again, Laura moved away again to Birmingham, AL for her pediatric residency and Chad remained in New Orleans for his dream job as a history teacher! They will finally be in the same city again following their wedding next Spring and are both so excited to begin their lives together!!
Chad and Laura are such a sweet and friendly couple. I feel like we’ve known each other forever. They both come from large families and enjoy traveling, exploring the city, eating seafood and spending time at home with their pets. 🙂
Chad proposed last summer on he and Laura’s vacation in Savannah! He totally surprised her. He got down on one knee with the river in the background and asked Laura to marry him with a ring he created from family diamonds. They spent the entire weekend telling strangers…and came home to surprise their families! <3
