Based on the fact that I chose the Louisiana State Museum for a recent personal shoot, I’d say I’m slightly biased toward the venue. 🙂 When Alida and I started talking about venues in Baton Rouge to shoot her bridals, the Louisiana State Museum was the first to come to mind. Alida, being the trusting and laid-back bride that she is…was all for the idea! 🙂
We escaped the cold and found ourselves amidst a combination of elegance and modern architecture. Alida’s vintage gown was the perfect contrast to the sharp lines and modern materials.
Every person who has seen these bridal portraits go on and on about how beautiful Alida is. I couldn’t agree more. Look at her! She’s stunning. And her gown…WOW. The coolest part is: (in the words of Amelia) “It’s like a convertible.” Alida’s gown is part of the WHITE Vera Wang line. And I LOVE its ability to transform.
For the wedding, Alida wore the lace sleeves, for the reception she took off the lace overlay  and threw on a vintage pearl necklace. For her bridals, she even brought along an incredibly gorgeous white fur shawl to cover her shoulders. AH!
Alida, the first time I ever spoke to you, I asked you if I could box you up and take you around with me. I mean it. You’re always smiling and are so much fun to be around. Your name (that rhymes with La-di-da) couldn’t be a better fit for your bubbly and kind personality. You are so sweet and working with you has been a breeze!! 🙂 Thank you for being YOU!
