Ten years ago, I met Mia in Design 101, my first year of architecture school. Four years ago, she asked me to photograph her wedding. Two years ago, we began working together in the wedding industry when Mia decided to open her own floral business. And last month, she asked me to photograph her anniversary session with Rob.
Mia is the epitome of positive energy, tireless efforts, and endless creativity; she manages to continuously create….and create in a way that is uniquely her own.
When we started architecture school, I was consistently admiring her work, wondering how she did it!!!! Her sense of color and composition was so natural and different! And today…she’s still executing those mind-blowing visions, through her florals.
She and Rob are just making four years and I’m SO honored that she asked me to photograph their anniversary session. Mia’s wedding was one of my first so it was so gratifying to see them doing SO well…and to document that love.
Mia and I discussed the shoot in advance, envisioning this wooded area as the location, what they’d wear and how the images would feel. What we DIDN’T anticipate was the FREEZING cold weather that would arrive that morning. This HAD to be the coldest shoot I’ve done yet here. <<< I mean it this time. I could barely feel my hands and I KNOW Mia was thankful for her fur stole.
Regardless of the cold weather, the images came out more beautiful than my imagination could have dreamt…and I’m so happy to have been able to create these images for such a special couple::::::
