On the cruise ship, a trip they’d planned with a large group of friends, Brett strategically planned for the right moment to propose to Jolie. After dinner, they all strolled the deck of the ship on a walk. Jolie can remember them walking…and walking….and walking.
So, she decided she wanted a drink, but all Brett wanted, was to keep walking. He was looking for the “perfect” spot. Jolie didn’t even know where they were on the boat, but Brett and the others were very aware of what was going on.
When they made it to the top deck, Brett very casually and secretly retrieved the ring from his good friend, Matt. Jolie can remember thinking…trying to decide which city they were in, when Brett grabbed her hand and got down on one knee.
She was COMPLETELY surprised and says it was a a total blur but does remember Brett saying:Â “I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Brett planned the proposal so that she was close enough to home to call her family and friends. And to make things even sweeter…Brett’s family planned a huge surprise party for them when they got home from the cruise. Jolie thought they were going to dinner with his parents but instead it was a dinner comprised of her family and close friends as well. 🙂
Brett + Jolie opted to photograph their engagement session on the campus they love so much! They’re both alumni of LSU … so there was no question this is where they’d want to be photographed. We started in the quad and moved throughout the campus to some of their favorite locations.
I hope you enjoy the preview of their shoot, and I’m excited to blog one remaining portion…that I’ll save for sometime next month. 🙂
Have a wonderful Monday and enjoy this beautiful day!!! I’d love to hear your thoughts on their engagement photos!!
