“The place I want to travel most with you…is everywhere”
“The best spot for you is in my arms.” -Written by Jimmy to Laura
He’s an engineer, a man who’s laid back and enjoys the simple things in life like weimaraners, good weather, and…..Laura.
She’s a dentist, super crafty, a woman with an eye for detail. She loves animals (her weimaraner), vintage details, and….Jimmy.
Together, they are the perfect match. It’s been 8 1/2 years, long enough for them to form an unbreakable bond, develop a lifelong friendship, and make the conscious decision to spend the rest of their lives together. And to think that it all began the night of Jimmy’s house party….
A friend of theirs mentioned to Jimmy that Laura thought he was cute. 🙂 Unbeknownst to Laura, Jimmy thought the same of her. Their first date followed soon thereafter, and as the night ended Jimmy left his hat. I picked on him that he left it on purpose, but I suppose for their story…we’ll never know. 😉 One thing IS for sure, along with his hat, he left his heart.
Laura + Jimmy’s wedding was held at the Metaire Country Club on Halloween weekend. It was the perfect combination of elegance, vintage styling, and…..creativity! They even incorporated the Halloween holiday and the spirit of New Orleans! Thank you so much for having Amelia and I there to document your wedding day!
Every bridesmaid was surprised with a custom necklace designed by Laura. Laura, was surprised with a diamond drop from Jimmy.
Laura told me in a conversation that we had that she’s addicted to everything custom. She likes the ability to personalize and make things her own. Their rings were the perfect example of this.
While I was with Laura, Amelia was with Jimmy, his groomsmen and his father capturing ADORABLE images like this one below!
The bridal party was built of beautiful ladies!
…..and studly men!
The moment Jimmy saw Laura, his eyes lit up!
I don’t blame him. Laura, you are so gorgeous!
The area where they were married was surrounded by the country club walls and lots of beautiful windows. I love this photo by Amelia below.
And as the sun was setting, Amelia grabbed this shot below of the sunset Laura + Jimmy dreamed of.
As they prayed together, the sun fell so beautifully on Laura. This is one of my favorites from the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Graham
Laura + Jimmy opted not to do a First Look, so we took some time after the wedding, to shoot some images of the two of them on the golf course as the sun set.
I love that you can see the tiny moon in the upper left hand corner of the image.
Jimmy sat down to sign the marriage license when I grabbed this shot of him spinning his new wedding ring.
Ok….THIS blew my mind! It was my first time ever seeing a REAL life ice sculpture. Call me sheltered, but this was SO cool. 🙂
Just like everything at Laura + Jimmy’s wedding, they even thought through the dancing. 🙂 They are master dippers.
The dances with their parents were so fun!
It was the perfect lead into what would be a true celebration.
A few guests even dressed for the occasion.
One of my favorite aspects of the night were when Mrs. Marty and Mrs. Sandy came out to sing to Laura + Jimmy. Future mother-in-laws for the couple…they’re sure in for a lifetime of fun with these two!
Happy Halloween from the Grahams!
This….This right here, is a secondline!!!!!
There were wondeful toasts given….
….followed by shots provided by Laura’s brother from his very own distillery.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
And who said the photographers can’t have fun too?!
Happy Tuesday!!!!
