This year for Amanda has been filled with both joys and with sorrows. In January of this year, Amanda lost her father. I’ve asked her permission to share this because just before she lost someone so special in her life, Chris had the chance to speak with him about Amanda. And in that talk, he asked her father for his blessing. Although Mr. Eddie is no longer here with us, it was very special to Chris…that he blessed Amanda’s marriage to him.
On Valentine’s Day of this year, Chris took Amanda to an area they’ve grown to love so much: downtown New Orleans. They had dinner in the quarter area and then walked along the River where she sat down on one of the black metal benches. It was there that Chris got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him.
Amanda was completely surprised. She had no idea…in fact, everyone else knew but her!
For Amanda + Chris’s engagement session, we returned to the very same area where he first proposed. We were blessed with a beautiful, sunshiny day…and I was blessed with a beautiful couple. 🙂 It was such a pleasure having the chance to spend time with these two. They’re patient, and kind. And with each other, their love really shows through! I’m so excited to post a preview of their engagement session and thankful for the opportunity to photograph this special time of their lives.
