Taking the Amtrak train has become a common occurrence, a part of their routine…and the way they travel to see each other. For Ally and Brad, the train and this trip has become a part of their relationship in a way as they make the distance between DC and Jersey. As you’ll see in the Save the Date card below, the distance didn’t keep them apart. They traveled 8,000 miles by car and 2,400 miles by train and on the 10,399th mile Brad waited at the Train Station, ready to surprise Ally.

You see, Ally pretty much banks on the fact that Brad runs late (we could be related)….so when she arrived in Princeton to find a crowd of people, none of which she knew, Ally assumed Brad was running late. As she made her way through the train station, looking around for Brad she finally spotted him.

There he stood, smiling, and decked out in his suit (probably decorated with “interest” — AKA: a pocket square) and a beautiul bouquet of flowers.

In that moment, she knew. She knew that was going to be a moment she’d remember forever. Brad, knowing Ally’s spontaneity and his inability to ever predict her reaction, was nervous. But as the proposal came to an end, they were forever promised to spend their lives together.

Ally is very much an independent, fun, and creative woman with fabulous ideas…Brad is a laid-back, funny, and so super witty (oh and can I add that they’re SO well-dressed?!). Together make the perfect match.  We photographed their engagement session in the city of New Orleans and enjoyed quite the day…and at one point…quite the crowd (more on this below)::

We started the session at the Monteleone in downtown New Orleans. There’s nothing like a nice glass of cool drink, a beautiful hotel, and a little bit of relaxation to start the session!

TRUE STORY:

During the  engagement session, this stranger stopped us in middle of downtown NOLA & began SHOUTING [[as if he were shakespeare]]:

“COME, LET US GIVETH THIS HERE COUPLE YOUR APPLAUSE. LET US ACKNOWLEDGE LOVE, AND SHOUT FOR THE BRIDE & GROOM (this went on for a goo0000ood 3 minutes)……..

Sweet…or c.r.a.z.y?!

At least it created lots of laughter. I laughed about this for a long time during their session. This has NEVER happened to me before. There’s no place like New Orleans.

Are you kidding me?! These shoes are amazing.

Kate Spade would be proud.

Ally + Brad are just so sweet and comfortable together. 🙂

My favorite.

I have to give both of them a HUGE compliment on their outfit selections. It’s amazing how big of a difference it makes when a couple really plans for their session. WHEW! This is a good looking couple. 🙂 🙂

AH! So sweet.

Brad was cracking me up with his “interest” as they called it. For every outfit, he had a particular pocket square to add a little something to his attire.

And towards the end of their session…we grabbed this. lol

You two are A>W>E>S>O>M>E
