The night they met, someone called him her future husband. But little did they know it would come true. Maybe they saw a deeper connection in their tit for tat games that night….or the way they couldn’t stop talking to even watch the hockey game. Now, after three years, she calles him her rock and she cried to me as she said that he just makes life easy.
When Valerie contacted me initially to inquire about my availability for their wedding, it was three weeks before New Year’s Day, the day Brandy + Steve chose to be married. On the Monday before New Year’s, we photographed Brandy’s bridals, on the Thursday, their rehearsal supper, and on New Year’s Day, their wedding. And I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
There are not enough words for me to express the experience…the wonderful experience of working with Brandy and Steve. Their families are nothing short of amazing and these two are destined for a life filled with love and happiness. They compliment each other and lift each other up.
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from Brandy it’s how to roll with the punches. She ALWAYS remembered what was important: That she and her husband were promising this day to spend the rest of their lives together, with their family and loved ones.
Sewn onto Brandy’s bouquet was a photograph of her father. He may not have been there in body, but he was there in spirit.
As Brandy looked into the mirror, from my angle, her sister was in the reflection.
Those two are inseparable and their sisterly love is something to be envied. 🙂
Brandy’s gown was gorgeous on her! A perfect match for her elegant style.
Meet Steve! So handsome. 🙂 And we ALL know he loved the Canadian cufflinks.
If you haven’t seen Brandy’s bridal session, then let me remind you of the coolness that existed UNDERNEATH all that elegance.
Every detail in place..
This was my first wedding photographed at Acadian Village, I loved the quaint feel of the church.
Thanks to Valerie Aloisio for 2nd shooting with me and for grabbing the shot below!
The wedding was short and sweet…
And they had a cajun band there to express the Southern feel that Brandy loves so much.
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bieren. 🙂 🙂 🙂
After all the guests filtered out of the church, Brandy and Steve exchanged gifts…
LOVE
The cake was beautiful, and yes…..we all know I tasted it. 🙂 Approved!…Delicioso
Just before the reception started, Brandy and Steve practiced the fox trot just outside of the church.
The dance was beautiful and they did a wonderful job! 🙂
When Brandy’s dad lost his fight to cancer in June, Brandy and Steve made the decision to get married here on New Year’s. And when I looked at Mrs. Delilah during the dancing, I understood why.
And when Brandy and her godfather danced to “Butterfly Kisses”……wow, definitely an unforgettable moment.
Ok….so I’ve grown up around dancing: ballet, jazz, contemporary, and tap. And when I got to college I learned to zydeco. But I have NEVER seen Canadian dancing!!!!! SOOOO fun.
It was truly amazing…a party! I had to keep reminding myself to hold my camera still…. 😉
Go STEVE!
Steve’s sister tore UP the dance floor!
And the kids just jumped right in!…love it.
Congratulations you two!
And Happy New Year! 😉
Just before we left we grabbed this shot of Brandy, Steve, and his son with Chris (BrideFilm), Valerie (Southern Fete), and me! Love these guys!
Brandy and Steve,
I’ve said it but I’ll say it again. I feel so blessed that you two were brought into my life. Being at your wedding was a true pleasure and I enjoyed every moment of it. I wish you the best future together. And thanks for teaching me never to take things too seriously. 🙂
You guys definitely know what’s important in life and that’s something to be admired. Congratulations on your marriage and thank you for choosing me to work with you.
