Once a year, we all get to feel special. ๐ We say things like, “Has is REALLY been an entire year?” or “Oh my goodness, I’m getting so old.” …..and on the upside, we get to feel like we can do what we want when we what with whoever we want…simply because it’s our birthday!!!!
Birthdays are great because you have these priveleges for NO reason other than the fact that it’s the day you were birthed to the earth. ๐
So, today, February 8, 2012….is my best friend’s birthday! I’ve written about her on the blog before in this past post about how I was lucky to ‘find’ or have a friend like her. And today, I’m writing to wish her the very very very best birthday ever. You see, we had an instant connection from the beginning of our friendship….and I always say she’s the sister I never had.
She never hesitates to be 100% honest with me and I feel so blessed to realize that sometimes. She’s the type of friend of knows what I’m going to say before I say it….we don’t even have to say anything to speak. Do you have a friend like that?!
It’s kind of like on Grey’s Anatomy when Christina tells Meredith that she’s “Her Person.” ย You see, Annika’s my person. Happy birthday, Annika!!! My life wouldn’t be quite the same without you in it. ๐
A few years ago, we surprised Annika with a party at my place. lol When I see this it just makes me smile!
I’m looking forward to spending the evening celebrating your birthday! And I promise no more trick candles.
