At the time, Adele + Jared were both walking the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. They were both taking the same classes, walking next to the same people, and studying the same books. In fact, there were a lot of things that Jared + Adele were doing similarly. Both were majoring in engineering (Jared in electrical and Adele in Mechanical) so it’s no surprise that EVENTUALLY their paths did indeed cross.
Like Jared, Adele was spending the little bit of free time that she had away from school downtown on Jefferson Street. Adele happened to be friends with one of Jared’s best friends, when the connection was finally made. Engineering was their first common thread, which lead into many many common bonds. Over the next three years, Jared + Adele began the life that would eventually lead to theirs…as husband and wife.
Their wedding was based on a theme of outdoor elegance, celebrating their love for the wildnerness. Their color palette of persimmon & ivory & a sunburst yellow were designed to really pop agains the earthy greens. Adele + Jared like to describe their wedding as unique, fresh, and natural….the perfect descriptions for this adventure couple.
Adele + Jared,
What can I say?!!!…You pulled it off. You dreamed of a beautiful day filled with your friends and family; celebrating the outdoors to great music and good food….your day was exactly that. Amelia & I had a wonderful time photographing your wedding and I’m so happy that everything really came together for you two. I hope that your honeymoon in St. Lucia was absolutely perfect!!! Enjoy your wedding post…and CONGRATULATIONS!

AH! Adele’s dress was gorgeous.
Michael Quinones was the florist for Jared + Adele’s wedding; it was so wonderful being able to work with such a talented and loyal friend. I thought the flowers were beautiful!!!
LOVE these shoes.
As you can see, Mrs. Denise (Adele’s mother) is meant to design. This is her “to scale” drawing of Palmetto park with the venue laid out just as it was on the wedding day.
Adele enjoying the time with her bridesmaids just before she got dressed.
Adele’s sister and maid of honor, Jacy’s hair was FABULOUS! And I adore the touch of color in her hair.
While I was with Adele + her bridesmaids photographing them getting dressed, Amelia was with Jared & his groomsmen….as they hung out at Palmetto Park.
L.O.L……
Adele & Jared opted to do a First Look for their wedding. To read more about their first look, feel free to visit the following blog post:Â http://bit.ly/GJsjHm
The moments that followed couldn’t have been more perfect.
As you can see, the tears were most definitely falling….(there were tears on my face as well!)
LOVE
We continued shooting for about 15-20 minutes after the first look. 🙂 This is the best way to get great photos on the wedding day.
This was SUCH a cool place for photos….of ONE B-I-G bridal party. 🙂
We were nervous earlier in the week about the rain, but it held out for a beautiful day!
Adele, you are stunning.
After the wedding as the guests were filing into the reception, we cut up a bit outside the ceremony spot. I believe this is called the Robot. lol
Their first dance as husband and wife.
This is quite possibly one of my favorite first dance photos. EVER.
I love when a groom writes his bride on their wedding day. SO thoughtful….there’s NOTHING like a hand written note.
Adele most definitely thought of it all. Instead of laying the bouquets on the cake table, each bouquet had it’s own unique vase with a special and sentimental pendant on each.
AH! You guys are just SO sweet…. and so adorable.
The venue was truly a perfect place for fun…no matter what your age. 🙂
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
And THIS. THIS is called “SCHMANGING”
Oh my goodness…probably one of my favorite shots from the day. haha
The newlyweds off to St. Lucia. CONGRATULATIONS!
Absolutely amazing!!! I love everyone of this photos 🙂 So happy my best friends are MARRIED and you captured their big day so beautifully!
Such beautiful wedding pictures! Congratulations to ALL!!!
