Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
We loved the open area of the garden and the City Park tree still being lit from Christmas and the Oaks. It gave a really pretty wintery vibe.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
Everything! Seeing all your plans and details come together is just a speechless feeling.
What was your best wedding day memory?
Dancing the night away with the people we love the most. Seeing all of our family and friends so happy to celebrate us. Also, the doubloon send off was such a cool moment! We both wanted a wintery wedding and we both got it being the coldest day of the year in New Orleans so far!! 33 degree low – made our dreams come true 😉
How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
I did incorporate my grandparents in my bouquet using their picture charms. I also wore my late grandmother’s sapphire ring. She is the reason Bryan and I actually started dating after she passed.
Also, we got married on King’s Day which was the start of Mardi Gras season so of course we wanted to incorporate Mardi Gras masks, groom’s cake was the LSU king cake, our favors were mini-king cakes and ended the night with a doubloon send off!!! It was the perfect touch to Mardi Gras, being we are both from New Orleans.
