Cinco de Mayo is the 5th of May. It’s also the day their love began. What started as a chance encounter turned into a romance filled with passion and lots of laughter. I could hardly stop laughing to myself during their engagement session. As I pressed the shutter repeatedly to capture the way Sarah relaxes in his arms and laughs at his jokes, I had to steady my own hands. I was laughing just as hard.

He’s full of jokes…and love, for her. If there’s one thing that makes Sarah happy, it’s Nathan. The two of them together are quite the pair. “We’re perfectionists” Sarah told me a few weeks back…it was obvious this past Saturday…as their wedding was perfect.

Every detail was absolutely stunning and every moment one that I enjoyed capturing. The 13 children made quite the story to tell and I couldn’t help but smile as I photographed all the little girls dancing around in their ballet-type attire.

I had the wonderful pleasure of having Max Trombly shoot the wedding with we me on Saturday. There are so many things that we all loved about the day, so I will be sure to tell the story as we go along…

We can start with the rings. If you haven’t heard Sarah and Nathan’s engagement story, you should visit their engagement post here. Her ring is just as stunning as she is and it was custom designed just for her.

Sarah’s Ninas and Yvonne LaFleur earrings were absolutely beautiful and complimented her perfectly.

One of the most unique details from the wedding were these purse that each of the mothers wore. 🙂

Florals were done by Nola Flora…so beautiful.

I think this may be my favorite dress shot…ever. Sarah’s Eve of MiLady gown hung so beautiful in the kitchen of Nathan’s mother’s home.

All the little girls were so cute!

Sarah’s hair was done by Melanie Tran and her makeup by Kimberly Porche. Both ladies did a beautiful job;  Sarah you are gorgeous!

Two of Nathan’s sisters were sitting next to each other and I couldn’t help but admire their relationship. Having never had a sister it makes me happy to see such incredible relationships!!

LOVE

We gathered all the bridesmaids for a few groups before the wedding. These ladies could be the next housewives of New Orleans. 🙂 Their dresses are Priscilla of Boston…and my FAVORITE color!

Sarah was so beautiful as she climbed into the back of her Rolls Royce.

We had FOUR police escorts that took us to the church. This is Sarah in the Rolls behind us. Seriously……one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen to watch cars literally pull over for her!!!

The St. Louis Cathedral….the church were the wedding was held. I was SO excited to shoot my first wedding here on Saturday.

Max spent some time with the guys before the wedding and was able to grab this adorable shot below.

Nathan is SUCH a trip!

I love this photo by Max!

Having Max shoot the wedding with me was SO nice. He was able to grab images like the next that normally…I don’t even see!

And as they opened the doors, there she was.

Look at how excited he was to see her!!

Can you say GORGEOUS?!

They are SO sweet.

Father Jay gave the homily….and Nathan took notes…lol

Another great shot by Max.

Nathan, you are adorable. This is one of my favorite moments.

Max spent some some above the church…I’m still not even sure where he disappeared to. 🙂 But he was able to grab the next two shots from above.

After the wedding I spent some time with Sarah and Nathan in the church.

And on their way to their reception at the Pavilion of Two Sisters, I grabbed this shot of them hopping back into the Rolls Royce. This is one of my favorites from the day.

And drinks were waiting when they arrived. Now that’s what I call service. 🙂

Sarah and Nathan danced to “At Last” for their first dance as husband and wife.

I suppose I’ll be showing up on their film later!

And the PARTY began!!!

I LOVED the simplicity of their cake! The cake was done beautifully as always by Kathleen Short of Short and Sweet Cakes.

Check OUT Father Jay and Sarah! He’s the priest from the town I grew up in and he does such a wonderful job at the weddings. He knows so much about the bride and groom before the wedding that listening to him speak is like listening to a story.

Nathan singing to Sarah.

And for the first time ever….I’ve seen the guests LIMBO at the wedding!!!!
