Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
Yes! In my heart, I knew I wanted something simple and effortless. It was hard to look beyond the glitz and glam of all the beautiful gowns when shopping for a wedding dress. I was definitely torn at one point. At the end, I went with my gut and I am so glad I did!

Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
The dress is chic, simple, and classic without much lace or detailing. The plunging back and clean cut crepe mermaid fit provided a feminine silhouette to complement my thin frame. I loved that the bateau neckline kept the dress elegant and sophisticated. For me, it was the perfect combination of sweet and sexy.

How do you feel when you put on your dress?
I feel like myself when I put on my wedding dress =). The dress reflects my personality and allows me to make a statement with a minimalist look.

Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
Long and I aren’t committed to any style. We love it all. We began our life together in Ruston, LA. So the history and labor of love put into restoring this venue definitely reminded us of the little city we now call home. The refined rustic vibe of Race + Religious combined with our modern/minimalist wedding theme gave us the best of both worlds.
