Tim sat with Kristen’s parents and asked permission to marry their daughter. With their blessings, Tim began searching for her ring and planning their proposal.
On the Thursday of their 4-year anniversary, Kristen + Tim celebrated with dinner at Cafe Vermillionville. Their evening went smoothly and toward the end of the meal, Tim asked if Kristen wanted to head to the country and chill in the rice fields (a tradition they enjoyed). She was totally up for the occasion so they hopped in Tim’s truck and made their way there.
But what Kristen didn’t expect, was for Tim to blindfold her and bring her to a location even further away. When they arrived, Tim removed Kristen’s blindfold and she found herself surrounded by tiki torches.
Beyond the torches, Kristen made out the faces of their closest friends as well!!! Right there, in front of everyone, Tim asked Kristen to make him the happiest man on earth by becoming his wife.
They spent the evening celebrating and are now looking forward to the most important day of their lives.
I am so excited to have had Kristen + Tim choose me not only to photograph their wedding day but to document this special time with an engagement session!
We spent their session shooting in the gardens of Rip Van Winkle. I had so much fun photographing these two and adore their connection with one another. It was what I would consider to be the “first official day of Spring” and we were blessed with gorgeous light and beautiful weather!
Feel free to leave your comments for Kristen + Tim below!
