When I think of Beth, I hear her laugh. It’s not too loud and not too quiet…but contagious enough to make you feel just as happy as she is at the moment you hear it.

She’s the kind of woman who wears her heart on her sleeve, loves George with everything she has, and gives her heart to those around her. From the moment I met Beth and learned about her relationship with George, I couldn’t wait to begin the process of working together with them. Their wedding took place this past Saturday in New Iberia; I am ecstatic to finally post these images of her.

The day of her bridals was not what we had anticipated; it was filled with scattered showers throughout the day and unideal weather conditions. But being that Beth is the fearless, open-minded and relaxed bride that she is, we went ahead and fought the rain. In the end, it wasn’t too much of a fight: Beth kicked the weather to the curb in her blue wedding shoes and we had an extremely successful shoot.

Half of the bridals were taken in New Iberia at Shadows on the Teche, Beth and George’s reception venue. The rest were taken in various locations in downtown New Iberia……….including a Laundromat. 😉 This location just screamed BETH at me, and this image is my personal favorite of her from her session!

I love the one-shoulder gown that Beth wore for her wedding; and the silk fabric and detailing is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

This image below runs a close tie for first. It shows her confidence, her poise,  her stunning bouquet and gorgeous blue shoes.

I asked Beth to spin…but more like a swoosh. So she did, she spun and said, “SWOOSH!”….haha….

You see, I can hear her laughing again.

I didn’t even realize this was a laundromat?! Seriously, these shutters are AWESOME. Beth was up for anything and she placed her complete trust in my abilities. 🙂

Ok…so now that we get a good look at her dress, don’t you just LOVE the simplicity of her gown; it really emphasizes the details like the beading on her lower left hip and right shoulder. And the gathering around the top…AH, beautiful.

When I think of Beth, this is what I see. Laughter and smiles. She is standing here…despite the fact that rain could pour down on us ANY second…just laughing and enjoying the moment. 🙂

These were taking at Shadows on the Teche, the venue for her reception located in New Iberia, LA.

Poised and confident….

Being flexible and open minded is one of my specialties. And I feel like in a lot of situations being able to adapt can lead to greater things. We were forced to move into covered areas during the rain, and it really seemed to have worked in our favor.

I feel like this image reminds me a lot of a story book….one wear she waits on her prince. I’m so happy that Beth has found George, and she is no longer waiting for that special man.

I know my hair looks a little bit like a wet mop here, but it was SO humid. As long as Beth looks great…that’s all the matters. 🙂

Kim, Marcie, and Mrs. Joan,

Thank you guys ALL so much for the fun day! Despite the humidity and rain drops, the day couldn’t have been any better. I know that Beth is truly blessed to have such incredible support and love. I feel like throughout this process I’ve developed such a strong relationship with Beth and have really grown to care for all of you guys. Thanks for the fake bouqet toss and all the smiles.

Beth,

You are stunning; I really can’t say it enough. You’ve got a special place in my heart and are just as beautiful inside as you are out. When you and George had your first dance on Saturday afternoon I couldn’t have been more honored to have been there capturing it for you. Thank you for trusting me and for letting me into your lives. I hope you’re off enjoying your honeymoon with the man of your dreams.

Catherine
