“Megan Pittman”….because that’s what he calls her….”Will you spend the rest of your life with me?”

And from that moment, she promised to call him “darling” for the rest of their days. It’s been quite the journey having dated since 8th grade, and this past Saturday Megan and Josh exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family members as the sun set over White Oak Plantation.

The type of love that exists between Josh and Megan is one that’s patient. It’s a love that’s fun. And it’s a love that’s unconditional; they will love each other for the rest of eternity.

When I arrived on Saturday, Megan ran to me and gave me the BIGGEST hug! 🙂 And I hugged her even BIGGER back. This is the day they have been waiting for and I feel like being there was just as exciting for me. Because the truth is, I’m walking away with friends. And friends that have found their one and only, their soulmate to spend their good times and bad with. Nothing in life is better than that.

Megan’s own personal touch in the gown…

Megan’s engagement ring belonged to her grandmother. And Josh chose a wedding ring to complement it perfectly.

How can you NOT smile when you look at her?!!!

Randi, the beautiful maid of honor…

These girls were on TOP of things. Look at them, hair and make up all done with enough to sit down for a competition of Smart Ass.

Along with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers, Josh sent Megan the sweetest note, reflecting back on the journey of their lives together.

This may very well be my favorite bridesmaids piece ever!

Ok…this sounds cheesy, but every time I see this picture I talk to Molly. (Yes…while she’s on my computer screen). Brad thinks I’m hilarious…or maybe he just laughs so I don’t feel crazy! 🙂

This is Josh…on the most important day of his life. He was SO excited and he’s such a gentleman. 🙂

Megan also gifted Josh with the sweetest gift…

…engraved with the words, “I love you, Darling.”

Check these men OUT! 🙂 So sharp!

And WATCH out….check out the ladies! 🙂 Don’t they look SO beautiful. The bridesmaids dresses fit everyone so beautifully and Yes, THEY ALL have pockets!!!

White Oak Plantation: I LOVE this venue.

SO Megan to put the ladybug on top. 🙂

….And this was the moment he saw her.

AHH!!! 🙂 🙂

Megan couldn’t stop smiling during the vows!

Josh was fidgeting with the rings just before he put them on Megan’s finger…the ring she’d wear forever.

Mr. and Mrs. Josh Blackwell

Being a wedding photographer is amazing for SO many reasons. Being able to be there for the most intimate moments, when no one else is around ranks among the top reasons.

This was the moment when the magnitude of what just happened sunk in for Megan.

I always like to spend some time with the bride and groom after the wedding, especially if they decide not to do a First Look. The plantation provided the perfect location for the images.

In case it wasn’t obvious, Megan’s an interior designer. And extremely creative. I actually saw her walk by and turn the bird cage below. lol… 😉 I love her attention to detail and love for contemporary and beautiful things.

First dance as husband and wife…

Mr. Jeff was SO happy. 🙂

And Josh and his mom have such a sweet relationship.

When Brad saw the image of their cake he couldn’t stop saying how different it was. We’re big fans of architecture and lines…so we were particularly drawn to her cake. Beautiful! And so modern.

CUTTING up on the dance floor…

Megan dedicated the song Poker Face to her dad…lol..

WOP WOP WOP; Play dead like…

Teach me how to Dougie.

Teach Teach me How to Dougie.

…so then Megan showed them all how it’s done. 😉

Even JOSH got on the dance floor toward the end of the night. 🙂

These guys were serious about the garter toss!!!

For the bouquet toss, Megan did fake the first toss….but then the chandelier had them all tricked. lol…

I believe this is my favorite image from the day.

Megan + Josh,

I hope you are having a wonderful time in Disney World right now (I LOVE the image you posted of you guys wearing the Mickey + Minnie ears). Don’t let the rain ruin YOUR parade. 🙂 Have a wonderful and safe honeymoon.

I wish you both the best in all that life brings and thank you SO much for choosing me as your wedding photographer.

Catherine

I have known Josh and his whole family all of my life. I have also known Megan for about 13 years! Catherine first of all I want to complement your photographs. They are beautiful! You captured some great shots! Next I want to say I am not sure if you knew Megan and Josh prior to being their photographer, but your descriptions of them are right on point! They are the sweetest couple. Like I told Megan on her wedding day, “I don’t cry at weddings but hers my eyes were watering the whole time”. These pictures even brought tears of happiness to my eyes because I know they have true love! I am so happy for both of them!
    They found their soulemates!
