What three adjectives best describe your wedding?
Joyous, Long-awaited, Graceful
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
Our wedding ceremony took place at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist. I have received all of my sacraments through the Cathedral, so it was only natural to return to a place that means so much to me.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
My favorite wedding purchase was actually a surprise to me, from my mother. We has a painter set up at our reception who skillfully managed to capture the love and happiness of our special celebration in a beautiful painting.
What was your best wedding day memory?
For Taylor, it was when I walked down the aisle at the church.
For me, it was at the end of our reception, running through the tunnel of our friends and family, bells and ribbon streamers in their hands, cheering for us as we made our exit. The amount of love and pure bliss that we felt was truly amazing.
Did you create any details yourself? How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
My bridal bouquet was made by my mother, who is the most skilled florist that I know. It was wrapped with antique lace, and included a rosary, a brooch that was once my Grandmother’s, and a sixpence for luck.
Taylor and I enjoyed the process of choosing the readings for our ceremony. We took our time and chose readings that had special meaning for us.
What is your wedding song?
Tiny Dancer by Elton John
