Ashley is the type of girl that knows what she wants. She’s confident, she’s creative, and she’s trusting. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting her bridal session because she showed up with lots to work with (including her beautiful self…a gorgeous gown, and several things to incorporate into the shoot). She brought two sets of flowers, a gorgeous antique green chair, at least 5 pairs of shoes, 3 sheets of fabric, and two accessories for her hair.
I Love it.
Being that Ashley and I both come from a design perspective (having graduated in Architecture from UL Lafayette) I feel like we just see eye-to-eye. Sometimes it was like we were reading each others thoughts.
A little more about Ashley….I left her session SOAKING wet. We shot the first half indoors and the second outside the St. John’s Cathedral in the cemetary; it was BY a landslide the hottest session yet this year for me. And she never once complained! She was up for anything!
Ashley + Brendon were married this past weekend and I’m so excited to finally release her bridal session.
We started the session inside of St. John’s Cathedral, Ashley and I both wanted to merge the beautiful architecture and her…in her beautiful gown. 🙂
This is one of my favorites from the day.
Ashley admitted to me at our initial meeting her obsession with shoes. I love the detail on the bottom.
You are beautiful.
We both agreed after seeing the images fullsize that she looked stunning in these shots taken of her laying in the pew!
Ashley and a few of her favorite shoes. 🙂
We then made our way into the cemetary. Having never shot a session in one before, I was excited. We made sure to have lots of respect for those who have past while pushing the boundaries for her session.
The sky created the perfect backdrop!

Kat: The closeup pic of the girl pouring the sprinkles is the best. The colors, the movement just great.
