Music can do many things for people. Music brings joy…reminds us of both good times and bad, and even brings us through those hard times. Music can comfort us when we’re sad…and make us feel good when we’re happy! For Angela + Jude, music is what brought them together.
They originally met at a music education conference. In between the 4th or so day, they met for drinks. But it didn’t stop there. They met again in Lafayette…and eventually they moved to the same city to be together.
Both Angela + Jude teach music and daily, music reconnects them. They have SO much fun when they’re together and it’s obvious to anyone around…that their connection, their love, and their friendship is strong…and real.
I’m so excited that Angela + Jude chose Amelia and I as their wedding photographers. We had such a wonderful time working with them for their wedding! Their wedding beautiful, and very laid-back. Even at the beginning of the day…when the Louisiana summer rain came just before their first look, they both trusted us … and it all worked out!
I’m so happy for the both of you…that music and God have brought together such a lovely couple! Enjoy the preview of your wedding day photography.

While I was shooting with Angela and her bridesmaids, Amelia met up with Jude to grab a few pre-ceremony photos.
The ceremony was held at St. John’s Cathedral in Lafayette, one of my favorite churches, especially for photography!
Like I said, it began raining just before the first look…so we moved to option B…which turned out to be a pretty awesome spot.
I love the First Looks…the reactions, and the opportunity to photograph the couple, their families, and bridal party in beautiful natural light.
The ceremony was perfect.
And we even made enough time after the wedding to shoot in the cathedral.
The reception was so much fun; I loved that Jude jumped in with his band GTO for some jams.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jude Gaspard!
