Jill + Austin are high school sweethearts, having spent the past several years building the foundation for what is now a lifelong commitment.
Months before Austin proposed, he found the discipline and desire to sing and play guitar. So, he diligently taught himself to play: all with a purpose. His purpose was to learn to play “Crazy Girl” by Eli Young Band the night he would propose.
The day before the proposal he drove 3 hours outside of Jill’s hometown to pick up her horses. And the next night, Jill came home to find them on her property! Immediately overjoyed and completely surprised by the sight, she was more than willing to take a ride with Austin. They hopped on the horses and rode to the nearby lake where Austin sang to Jill and asked her to marry him!
I’m so excited to have met this sweet couple!!!…And I can’t get over how they toughed out the freezing temperatures in St. Louis that day without a complaint.
I’m SO pumped to have had the opportunity to photograph at this location (The St. Louis Arch)…and thrilled to share some of my favorites from the session!
