Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
The ceremony was at Saint Mary Magdalen, a Church that was important to both Robert and I since that’s the Church we both went to while at Vermilion Catholic High School. Magdalen Place is right across the street from the Church – making it easy for guests, especially our out-of-town friends and family.
What was your best wedding day memory?
Saying “I Do!” and being showered with so much love and support from our friends and family. We look back on the day with the biggest smiles and the warmest hearts.
Did you create any details yourself? How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
We tried to incorporate a dash of our personalities into every aspect of our big day – it was a mash-up of many of our favorite things! Our DIY project was hand-stamping the tambourines that guests danced with for the last few songs and shook on our way out. It was quite the undertaking and was truly a labor of love!
Robert’s mom, Tracy Russo, made the pearl necklaces that the bridesmaids wore. She designs leather and pearl jewelry. The bridesmaids’ bracelets were made by a good friend of Mrs. Tracy’s, Richard Schmidt.
