An idea, a little bit of coordination, and a drive to Baton Rouge was all it took. Yet, a lot of times, it seems too much or too hard. I used to find myself turning down a lot of fun things (especially during architecture school) because it seemed like too much effort, but really, that’s all it took.
Just those three things promised a night of fun last Thursday. I was digging in my trunk to find some lip gloss (which isn’t the safest idea by the way)…when Kaylynn snuck up and scared the living daylights out me!!! From that point on, it was smiles, and laughs for the rest of the night.
I talked a little bit about this in my Weekly Morning Coffee post, but lately, I have really enjoyed spending what little bit of free time I have, enjoying my friends and having fun! And that’s exactly what we did. I met Kaylynn and Sarah a few months back at the St. Francisville Shoot, titled “No Man is an Island”….only to find out that it’s COMPLETELY true.
It’s virtually impossible to do anything 100% on my own, and it’s been so incredible lately for me to see that. My heart is truly full lately. Even this weekend, as I began moving into my new office (more on this to come) I’ve seen a huge amount of support, and have had a ton of help. And that’s what Kaylynn & Sarah reinforced, as well. I enjoy knowing that I have them to call friends, and that we can confide in one another & lean on one another for advice. And all it took where a few small things to make the night happen. 🙂
So, I let the waiter take our picture….and as I started to explain to him how to work my camera he seemed as if he already knew, so I stopped for the sake of overstepping my bounds. And when I handed him the camera, he did a pretty good job until……….
He held down the shutter for about 10 consecutive shots and had me making THIS face….lol. For the sake of my pride, please don’t laugh too hard. But honestly we were cracking up while he stood there looking like someone left him stranded and lost. Thank you Mr. Waiter-man, however, for making this funny memory to end a fun night. I know….we’re such the photography geeks to think this was funny. 🙂

Of course, I WOULD love this post!
I feel like you guys are the wheels that hold me on the tracks you know? Or like I am a pin ball and ya’ll are the two little flippers down at the bottom that keep me from dropping through the hole and shoot me back up to the top. That is how much you both rock.
Also, these pictures are so great! I love that you can even see the reflection of the chefs in the window!
Oh, and your face is worth multiple millions of dollars. I LOVE it! That is so us. I wonder how sarah kept her composure though? Ha!
