Melissa + Ryan initially met while he was visiting his grandmother in the hospital. Melissa was working and knew his older sister (who was the first to introduce them). A few days later, Ryan reached out to Melissa and asked her on their first date! One year and one day later…he asked her to be his wife!
The wedding was beautiful; its color palette of navy, ivory, gold with so many lovely details and memorable moments.
They wanted a wedding that was a celebration not only for their marriage but for the joining of their family and friends as well. The goal was a comfortable day…with classy, elegant styling!
Melissa’s favorite detail was her gold belt (I agree! <–love) and she really enjoyed designing his groom’s cake as well. She even took the time to create the wreath behind their wedding cake, the confetti sacks used for their final photo, and a variety of other DIY pieces scattered throughout the venue.
I would describe their wedding as natural, elegant and fun. And speaking of FUN, I had so much fun working with these two! If you haven’t had the chance to do so, be sure to check out Melissa + Ryan’s engagements, and Melissa’s bridals…before you check out a few of my favorites below! Enjoy. 🙂
