Alisha and Johnny actually grew up knowing each other. Kristen (Johnny’s sister) was Alisha’s best friend and by default Alisha and Johnny interacted with each other on occasion. However, Alisha’s perception of him was far from what it is now.
It really wasn’t until Kristen and Seth were together that everything aligned for them. Seth was Johnny’s best friend and so again…Johnny + Alisha were brought together.
It was Seth’s birthday party and much to Alisha’s surprise, that evening she found herself flirting with Johnny. 🙂 She could sense the spark. However, after the party ended and Johnny made an effort to take her to the movies she didn’t go. And from what I understand, this happened more than once. Then….one night, Alisha found herself at the casino, thinking of him. Without a second thought, she called him to meet her there. Shortly thereafter, they became official.
This all happened about three years ago, and on Saturday of last week, they exchanged vows and rings to solidify their marriage. The wedding was held at The Manor and I was excited to see everything really come together for them. I am so thankful to have been the one by your side, documenting your wedding day as it unfolded….

Adella made her mom’s money bag so I was sure to incorporate it into Alisha’s detail shots.
Alisha says her dress was her favorite purchase…she knew the minute she put it on that this was the dress for her!
Spending time in the bridal suite, it was easy to see how close Alisha and her bridesmaids were.
While I was with the bridesmaids, Max was with Johnny + his groomsmen, grabbing nice shots like this one.
Alisha was SO excited to show me her newest surprise from Johnny. Given to her the night before their wedding, her red ruby ring was a beautiful way for him to show her how much he loves her.
I love these girls. They are all TOO sweet! 🙂

I adore this detail shot by Max of Alisha’s gorgeous wedding gown.
And I appreciate that while I was capturing the processional, Max was able to catch this emotional moment for Alisha.

The ceremony was heartfelt and left many with tears.

Alisha + Johnny also included Adella in the sand ceremony. This shot was taken by Max as Adella, Alisha, Johnny, and the officiant representing God mixed their sand together.

The really cool thing about the Manor is that while I was shooting from the ground, Max was shooting from the balcony, where all their friends and family members stood to watch.
Their dance was followed by her father/daughter dance and Johnny’s mother/son dance.
Next, Adella danced with Johnny…which gave me goosebumps.
For the reception, Alisha changed into her converse to match the other groomsmen.
During the reception, Alisha + Johnny spent some time with me on the grounds capturing loving moments they’ll cherish forever.

I love how they know how to have fun and relax around one another.
The setup at the manor is really neat! After the dancing and dining in the main area, we moved into a covered and open dance floor on the opposite side of The Manor.

This…this right here is why I LOVE my clients. During our final meeting, we discussed their exit. At that point, Johnny + Alisha had no intentions of a formal photo for their exit shot. We talked about a few options, and despite Alisha’s fear of her dress being lit on fire, she went for it!!! They purchased sparklers and at the end of the night, we set up for this final shot…which I ADORE!
