For Kristen, she had no expectations that when she met Steve, she’d one day be standing at the alter with him. In fact, he had just been hired on at her advertising agency and their first encounter was off to a rocky start. However, over time they got to know each other and quickly began to realize how compatible they are. They knew dating in the workplace wasΒ not anΒ ideal scenarioΒ so they held off…but overtime their relationship proved that it was inevitableΒ they would end up together.
Kristen describes their relationship as pure love and a lot of fun. They enjoy laughing/taking on life as a couple…and Steve feels the same.Β Steve had all the intentions of proposing in October of last year. He even brought the ring to Kristen’s parents for safe keeping months before the intended proposal. But as soon as he dropped it off, he went back to pick it up and home to propose.
When he walked in the door, Kristen was on the couch relaxing to a bit of Grey’s Anatomy. π And from Kristen’s perspective she only noted his chatty mood asΒ a distraction from the latest drama on Grey’s (I get sucked into Grey’s as well…so, I TOTALLY get it). She asked him to just hold for one minute until the commercial break, but he couldn’t wait! He continued talking to her, telling her how much he loves her…until he finally took a deep breath and exclaimed “Here goes nothing” as he dropped to one knee. Of course, shocked at first and completely caught off guard,Β willingly accepted!!! Now, she stands asΒ his wife.
I was so incredibly flattered and beyond excited when Kristen contactedΒ us to photograph her wedding!Β And I have literally been counting down the days since she booked. We spent theΒ Friday before the wedding scouting the Tirrell Room andΒ the light as their outdoorΒ ceremony was taking place just before sunset….and the day of the wedding capturing the moments. I am soΒ ready to finally share a sneak peak of their wedding.
Kristen + Steve, thank you soΒ much for letting usΒ into your lives for your special day. YouΒ and your friends truly madeΒ Amelia and I feel at home…you’reΒ forever welcome here in LA. π I hope your honeymoon inΒ Disney was a blast…and I’m happy you’re home and ready to enjoy married life together.

While I was with Kristen, Amelia was hangin out with this fun group of guys.
Kristen’s bridesmaid Jess is not only talented enough to desing intimate wear for Calvin Klein, she Β was also talented enough to design and make this garter for Kristen.

So, the day we flew into Boston, we toured the Quincy area for locations. And when we stumbled upon this GIANT rock near the hotel…I stopped in place.
This is DEFINITELY something that you don’t see here and WOW.
Kristen is non-traditional in the sense that she follows her heart even when it defies the norm. Kristen + Adrion have been best friends for a lifetime, so he stood in her wedding as the Man of Honor.
What a slick group of guys.
….who know how to have fun. Oh! And did I mention the fact that they defied the norm again with their jean/jacket combo.

“Ok everyone…Kristen requested a silly shot. So…on the count of three either jump up or down, or at me.” I had no idea that this groomsmen far right would actually listen.

When I stumbled across your work on Facebook years ago (thank goodness for social media!), I had hoped one day you’d photograph my wedding. Years later, I was beyond thrilled when we were able to make it happen. Honestly, ask all my friends, they’ll tell you how excited I was!
