Paige and Paul met when Paige was in her senior year of high school. At the time, their friend Chris Feldman’s was the place to be..so it makes sense that this was the place they met. That night, they struck up an awesome conversation and eventually, exchanged phone numbers.
Over seven years later…here they are. They’ve been through all walks of life, supporting each other through college and professional schooling, dental school and law school. They both firmly believe in not only their relationship but their friendship as well!
From the beginning of the planning they knew they wanted their wedding to feel like a fun dinner party, a place where their closest friends and family could enjoy themselves. They used their modern aesthetics to plan the decor, and chose a modern venue to match.
The blue, silver, ivory, and green color palette was created based on colors they love and find themselves wearing often. And every part of their wedding really came together to create the simple, modern, and southern wedding they’d dreamed of.
So…for their wedding post, we’ll start with a few of Paige’s fabulous details including one of my favorites: her headpiece!
I absolutely love having Amelia shoot with me on the wedding day, and I’m so thankful for her perspective. We frequently bounce ideas back and forth…and sometimes speak without speaking. She is responsible for capturing this beautiful image of the bridesmaids dressing below on the left and the image above on the right of Paige doing her hair.
The first part of the wedding day I spend photographing details that the couple will want to remember, like Paige’s dress (below right) and jewelry as well as their wedding rings (above). So, it’s really nice to have someone on my team making sure that we never miss a moment!
I love that she captured this moment below between Paige and her mom. So beautiful!
I had so much fun with Paige throughout this entire process. She is such a lovely person inside and out.
Paige + Paul opted to do a First Look so that they’d have a private moment seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day, get beautiful photos of the two of them together, and photograph all family/bridal party photos before the ceremony!
This is the moment Paul saw Paige for the first time in her dress! First Looks are my favorite!
We spent some time after their first look, photographing around their venue! We also had the opportunity to shoot a bit at the Alumni Center Gardens and couldn’t have asked for a better day! LOVE <3
While Paige + Paul were looking at me, Amelia stepped into the trees and grabbed this shot from a unique perspective.
Mrs. Edith did an absolutely beautiful job with the florals. She was even sweet enough to come along for Paige’s bridals!
This was my first time photographing a wedding at the University Art Museum…and WOW!
I adore this simply modern venue…and Paige + Paul’s attention to detail with the silver chairs and decor.
They had several unique details scattered around the venue:
I’m thankful to have worked with such a sweet bridal party!
…and the men kept everyone laughing ALL day!
This is one of my all-time favorite bridal party photos! SO mod.
Paige + Paul took a unique approach on several details of their day, including the sign-in table <–using the heart print below for signatures, and the programs <–creating this super cool framed chalkboard of the processional.
Just before the ceremony started, Paige + her mom watched as the guests arrived.
The clouds overhead created the most perfect and soft light for their ceremony!
There were several sweet and funny moments during the ceremony!
Paige + Paul gave embroidered hankerchiefs to their guest as a favor during the ceremony. When I looked over, their flower girl was using it to cover her baby doll. 🙂
Their first kiss as husband and wife!
Dr. and Mrs. Paul Beyt!
In addition to having so many beautiful and unique details, Paige + Paul also had a wedding cake that was flush in the back and stepped up in the front. In addition, these mini-pies were so different!
They had their first dance outside in front of the fountain. GORGEOUS!
Their reception was held outside as well. As you can see, there was never a dull moment.
And here they are…the newlyweds off to their Sonoma honeymoon!
Paige + Paul,
