Daniel began the proposal by mentioning to Alexis that if the sales points at his company lined up, he would have the opportunity to travel to Florida for the weekend. Knowing all along that he was arranging her proposal…that’s how he “planted the seed.” He waited until Thursday to finally tell her he got the trip (which was really his own trip all along)! He arranged for a personal flight with his buddy to Florda…(again, telling her it was part of the trip with his company)…and they took off.
Alexis posted a picture of she and Daniel just before they boarded the plane and Daniel joked that he’d post a picture later on in the weekend and get more likes than hers. <–he was right, too. But even still, Alexis had no idea!
When they arrived, the start to their travels was not as expected. Alexis found herself walking to the local Winn Dixie hot in her sweat pants and then continuing to wait in the lobby until their 4:00 check-in. But she had no idea that it would ALL be worth it!
That night she and Daniel ended their evening with a walk on the beach. Alexis’s one request was that for their proposal, he would have someone photograph the moment. So, when a middle-aged couple began walking toward them on the shoreline, he knew it was the right time. He handed the woman his camera and as they went to pose, the lady encouraged them to move where there was no glare. Alexis turned to walk away but when Daniel didn’t follow, she swung around to find him on one knee!!
During our first meeting, they shared the images with me…and the pictures are ADORABLE!!!
We spent the afternoon photographing their engagements at Vermillionville in Lafayette. After having to cancel their first session scheduling due to the weather I was thankful for a gorgeous day!!! I feel blessed to be working with these two…
I think the shots above and below are some of my favorites! The lighting was amazing for their session! Daniel owns a company called Ragin Photo Booths (check them out yall)… so we were able to incorporate some pretty cute props into their shoot. I think the cutest prop of all was their dog, Kors! <–named after Michael Kors…or Coors Light depending on how you’d like to look at it. LOL There’s never a dull moment with these two…and I love their personalities so much! Their Save-The-Dates are going to be AWESOME! Alexis, you are gorgeous! The future Mr. and Mrs. Montet!
Alexis, you are as stunning today as you were the first time I meant you
,, still have the same great smile also. Great pictures, but I must say it would be hard to mess up with such an attractive couple. Good Luck and God Bless you both.
Love ya,
Lex & Daniel, The pictures are beautiful. Kors looks adorable. I love you both & looking forward to see you both on that special day.
Lots of Love Always,
