“Love Should Be” – by our grandfather (Michael A. Versen)
“Invest your time and faith in me,
For that is the way our love should be.
Please never judge until you see,
The things I’ve gone and done for thee.
Say to the world you’ll never doubt,
My love for you from here on out.
I can never do without so please,
Invest your time and faith in me.”
This was a poem written by our grandfather (the bride’s and mine) for our grandmother years ago. It’s the perfect description of the way love should be and I have no doubt that our grandparents are looking down on Michelle + Sam with pure joy that they’ve found this same type of love in each other.
It was truly special photographing Michelle + Sam’s wedding. There was so much love and happiness that day. And I couldn’t be happier for them!!!
They wanted a wedding that would remind them of their special moments shared, not only with each other but with those they love. The day was simple, yet classic…with a color palette of navy, ivory and blush…and a ton of unique details that I cannot wait to share in the images.
Michelle + Sam opted to do a first look (and their reactions were perfect!) During the first look, Michelle gifted Sam with the sheet music to their wedding song “You are the Best Thing” so that he can learn to play it on his guitar. Speaking of music, Michelle + Sam had also songs played during their wedding in memory of their grandmothers who were both very special to them.
The day was nothing short of sweet and thoughtful.
It’s obvious from the outside looking in how much Michelle + Sam care for one another. I cannot wait to see what life has in store for them…and only wish them the VERY best! <3 Congratulations you two!
