Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
Well, funny story! I originally purchased a different dress that didn’t end up working out. Two weeks before the wedding, I decided to say YES to another dress! The style of my new dress was completely different from the first and I couldn’t imagine getting married in anything else. As cliche as it sounds, everything really does happen for a reason!

Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
My main priority in finding a dress was comfort. I knew I wanted to dance the night away and not have a worry in the world! Asides from comfort, my favorite details are the Alencon lace bodice, scalloped neckline, kissing buttons, and box pleated train!

How do you feel when you put on your dress?
When I put on my dress the first thing I said was, “I feel like a bride!!” From then, I knew this was the dress I had to wear when I married Andrew. My dress made me feel confident, beautiful, classy, and elegant.

Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
Andrew and I actually had our first dance at a wedding at The Victorian Plantation. He always says I was smitten from that day! I wanted to take my bridals at a place that was equally as special as it was beautiful, and The Victorian was perfect!

Any advice for future brides embarking on this wedding journey?
Everyone told me “don’t sweat the small stuff” which in theory, is great advice! But in actuality, it’s really hard! It’s your wedding day – it’s the day most girls have dreamt about their whole lives, the one day that is all about you and your special someone. My advice to all future brides….it’s okay. It’s okay to feel exactly how you are feeling. It’s normal to feel a little stressed, overwhelmed, tired, anxious, nervous, excited, happy (the list goes on and on). It’s normal to have ALL the emotions at such a special time in your life, and no one emotion is right or wrong. Whatever way you are feeling, it’s okay!
