If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
Loving, blissful, and fun
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
I’ve always thought Most Blessed Sacrament was one of the most beautiful churches in Baton Rouge. I may be biased though, since I teach at the school. 😉 For our reception, we wanted somewhere that was classically southern, so White Oak Plantation was perfect for us! The atmosphere and the food were amazing, and the staff made everything so easy and stress-free.
What was your favorite wedding detail?
We loved our flowers, our cakes, the music, etc. but more than anything, we loved the people who were there with us. Our wedding day was filled with so much love, and we wish we could just bottle up that feeling forever.
What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
While we loved being surrounded by our family and friends, our favorite memory involves just the two of us. Before we went into our reception, White Oak provided Scott and I with a private room where we got to have dinner together. It was so nice to have some quiet time to catch up since we hadn’t really talked the entire day. Of course, it only lasted ten minutes because we were too anxious to go celebrate with everyone!
How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
We made sure that every detail that went into this wedding was chosen by us. While there were so many little decisions to make along the way, we knew that, above all, we wanted good food, great music, and our favorite people. Everything turned out perfectly.
What is your wedding song?
“You Are the Best Thing” – Ray LaMontagne
