If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
FUN, romantic, surprising
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
We wanted our out of town guests to truly get the “New Orleans” experience. Broussard’s has a beautiful courtyard as well as the most delicious food. Christ Church Cathedral is where my mom grew up going to church and where my parents were married.
What was your favorite wedding detail?
My charms on my bouquet with pictures of my grandfather and grandmother who are no longer with us.
What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
SO MANY! Walking down the aisle and seeing Ian at the other end; ALSO, when my parent’s surprised us with giant “Lauren” and “Ian” heads for all of our guests…we were so shocked! And of course, the second line!
How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
We really just wanted our wedding to reflect our fun and playful sides. Ian loves music and so he really wanted a multi piece band with great music. The bottom tier of my wedding cake was filled with sprinkles, reflecting my love of baking and anything with sprinkles 🙂 Overall, we just wanted our guests to have fun!!
What is your wedding song?
