Needlesss to say my heart was beating out of my chest and I could barely find my feet to walk up the steps. I walked onto a silent stage in front of over 500 photographers, my hands were shaking and I was more nervous than I can ever remember being before.
I nodded and the slides began.
This was the start to my participation in this year’s Photographers Ignite. Each year at WPPI, Kevin Kubota and his team choose a dozen photographers to participate. Each photographer has exactly 5 minutes to deliver their message. And the message is given while your slides auto-advance every 15 seconds.
I chose to memorize and deliver a poem on branding. The topic is something I’m passionate about and inspires me daily.
